Applicants for PhD programs should be Master degree holder and under the age of 40;

Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China and comply with the relevant regulations set by the“Document No. 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC ";Be in good health both mentally and physically.

1. Passport home page;

2. Bachelor/Master degree certificate;

3. Official transcripts;

4. A study plan at least 1,000 words;

5. 2 recommendation letters from professors or associate professors;

6. Curriculum Vitae;

7. Language proficiency certificates:
TOEFL≥80, IELTS≥ 6.0 or Duolingo English Test ≥ 90; or an university statement for program instruction language if their previous degree is from English-taught programs in non-English speaking countries; No need to provide certificates when applicant’s first language is English or their previous degree is from universities in English speaking countries;

8. A photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form (usually issued within 6 months before the application submission date);

9. Non-criminal record report (usually issued within six months before the application submission date);

10. Bank Statement (at least CNY 30,000 or equivalent foreign currency);

Q: If I failed to get the scholarship, is the money refundable?
A: Yes, please refer to our "Terms & Conditions".

Q: When can I know the result whether I get the scholarship or not?
A: Generally, the result will come out around mid-February for Spring Intake and aroud May to June for Autumn Intake.

Q: When will I get the admission documents?
A: The admission documents, including Admission Letter, Scholarship Confirmation and Visa Letter, will be delivered to you 1-2 months before the course starts.

Q: Why should I pay the service fee in advance?
A: Scholarship application takes time, effort and resource in both CUCAS and universities, and the process is irreversible. In case of casual applications and attempts, we charge service fee in advance. There is no extra cost or hidden charge.
